What’s a backorder?
A backorder occurs if you place an order for a product that is either:
- temporarily out of stock and is likely to become available again soon.
- something we manufacture and can supply in a reasonable amount of time.
Essentially, the product is still being ordered, but it isn’t immediately ready for shipment.
Allowing backorder helps to track demand for items that are out of stock and to continue processing orders, even if the product isn’t currently in inventory. We do our best to only allow items to be backordered if it’s something we can supply in a reasonable time.
How long will my backorder or special order item take to ship?
This will depend on the item and brand. For products we manufacture in New Zealand (Aspiring bags, harnesses, slings, etc.) the wait is typically a week or less. If the item comes from a distributor or overseas supplier and it’s expected to take more than a week to ship will will contact you.
